Installing WSS 3.0 (x86 / x64) on Windows 2008

Quick Note: If you are trying to install Windows SharePoint Services (x86 or x64) on Windows 2008, then you must download the WSS 3.0 with Service Pack 1. Not the general download of WSS 3.0. Here I am talking about the clean installation, not the upgrading from Windows 2003.

Install Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows Server 2008

As we are unable to install Microsoft ActiveSync on Windows 2008 (Windows Vista also), the only option is Windows Mobile Device Center. But when I try install it; I got below mentioned error.
