Install Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows Server 2008

As we are unable to install Microsoft ActiveSync on Windows 2008 (Windows Vista also), the only option is Windows Mobile Device Center. But when I try install it; I got below mentioned error.
Error : "The update could not be installed because at least one Windows component required by Windows Mobile Device Center is missing"
